Technical Info > Laser Engraving
The Nd: YAG Laser The YAG laser was originally used to compete with the speed of the constant-wave CO2 laser and its optical subsystem. Because constant-wave technology uses a constant, segmented, high-wattage beam, it remains very stable and predictable during the entire engraving process, thus providing excellent repeatability and predictability, both across the face and roll to roll. Furthermore, the bowl-shaped cells of CO2 engravings, when engraved correctly, release ink very well, allowing easier cleaning. |
